Network fit
The buyer should define the primary and secondary voltage, kVA rating, phase, frequency, vector group, impedance and tap range. These items determine whether the unit fits the local network.
Outdoor and accessory scope
Bushings, cable boxes, surge arresters, gauges, relays, wheels, lifting lugs, paint system and packing should be listed rather than assumed.
Commercial comparison
Distribution transformer prices should be compared only after losses, accessories, tests, standards and delivery terms are aligned.
